Monster Pinterest Bash!!

So I am late posting this. I also forgot to post a few weeks ago too. We are challenged to post a creation we did either by a tut on pinterest or inspiration from something we pinned. It was super crazy when I missed the last one so I didn't get to do it.

So......Guess what? My little monster turned ONE on the 21st of this month. I was super sad, both of my boys are just growing up to quickly I tell ya! Once CJ's birthday was over I was off to plan Jamison's Party. Their birthdays are exactly ONE month apart! Phew!  I tell you its going to be a challenge and heavy on the check book each and every single year, lol. As the last party was diy so was this! I couldn't not do it like that. Hello! I am a crafter, I swear it runs in my blood! I just have to make stuff. I LOVE making things, especially when I get to give them away as gifts!!

So what monsters you ask? Well he is my Little Monster. It was just perfect for him! Plus cute monsters are cute to me! I went on the HUNT for Monster anything on pinterest (love that site). Here is my Monster Board there is just SO much inspiration. There are some ADORABLE monster parties that others have done. So much inspiration to feed off of!

I needed to think of what to do for the goody bags. I am so tired of cheap toys that COST so much and they are just poorly made! Its ridiculous if you ask me. I mean seriously 90% of the time its just going to end up in the trash, right? So this Mama made MONSTER HATS!!!
I made TEN to be exact! I can't believe that I was that CRAZY enough to make TEN hand-crochet hats! PHEW! That was a BIG task to conquer, BUT I did it! Yes I was VERY tired but I LOVED the way they came out! Super duper cute if you ask me, hehe, but I am biased. I took total inspiration from these two hats here: http://pinterest.com/pin/217711238/ and http://pinterest.com/pin/142989945/ there are so much more other Monster Inspired hats out there its unbelievable and they are all cute too!

So these hats were in the goody bag but we needed more things to put in the bags. Since everything was handmade we didn't put a ton because just like anything else it all costs money :) and what birthday party doesn't cost some sort of money? So we did some MONSTER SLIME!!

This too can be found on pinterest!! Its a tutorial for the slime! It was another hit at the party. The little monsters were super cute and I was so glad that I found them at Target in the party section. You can find the slime tut on this pin in the blog http://pinterest.com/pin/217310738/
it was very cool that I found it. We were going to make the pinata too but we ran out of time so we didn't get to do it.

Now it was time to figure out some decorations! We didn't go all out but we still needed some monsters to make an appearance!
Aren't these little monsters so cute? I loved the way they came out! I made the pink and purple one. My 2 younger sisters made the green on in the middle pick and my mommy made the teal and black one! They all came out super cute! People liked our little visitors! They were super nice and didn't scared the kids at all. As a matter of fact they played with the kiddos!! And my inspirations came from this pin http://pinterest.com/pin/217391788/ Oh yes I forgot to mention that in the Middle Picture the Monster Hat there is the B-day Boys hat and my mom made the party bags, pretty cute, eh?

Once again I had my cousin from Stellar Cakes and Cupcakes do the cake and cupcakes! I swear her cakes and cupcakes are so so so so so Yummy!! They are gone in a heart beat there is NO seconds or left overs when she brings her goodies. Thank you Stella for the awesome cake and cupcakes that you did for Jamison's Party. I loved how they turned out and they were a hit as well. Check them out!

Aren't these just adorable? I think so. She did so awesome. I love it. These little monsters were right at home with all of the other monsters that were there visiting Jamison! They were super delicious as well, wish you could of had one!

So along with the Monster Hats, the Monster Slime we added MONSTER SHIRTS!!!! These babies were AWESOME! They monster glow in the dark!! BOOYAH!!!! We used the cricut to make the stencil and we did these babies by hand as well! The Hats, slime and shirts where a HUGE hit with the kiddies!!
See all of these little monster? They are so adorable!!! Oh ya and since we didn't get to make the monster pinata we wanted we altered a pinata. Well my mom did anyways and it just made it all that much better!

The party was a hit and it was so much fun! All the hard work and money spent was well worth it. Thank you to my older sister Selina for letting us have it at her house! Here are some pictures of the birthday boy.

He had a great time! We are all exhausted and we took today to recover. It was a great time. I hope you all liked what I did with pinterest!

Giveaway- My Memories Digital Scrapbooking

Hello Fans!! Soooo.....this is a SURPRISE Giveaway that we are doing! Who likes to scrapbook? I know I do! It's another one of my MANY hobbies that I have! Well have you ever wondered what it would be like to venture into Digital Scrapbooking? I know I thought about it a few times but I never went ahead with purchasing the program.

A few weeks ago I was contacted by a My Memories Consultant- Liz. So we talked and we are doing this giveaway! I got to play with the program and do a few pages using My Memories! So here are the rules for the giveaway that we have going on.

Rules:
1. In order to enter the giveaway they could go to www.MyMemories.com and choose your favorite digital paper pack or layout, then comment with which one you would pick.

2. Tell me what your thoughts are in a comment about scrapbooking software i.e digital scrapbooking.

3. Share this giveaway with your family, friends and fans using facebook, tweeter, etc and post the url.

4. Become a follower on this blog.

5.  Stop by My Memories Suite Fan page on facebook and show some love http://www.facebook.com/mymemoriessuite

6. If you are not a fan of my Facebook fan page yet become a fan! Crafty Jones Creations

So you have SIX different ways to enter into the My Memories Suite Giveaway here. Each comment made is a entry for the giveaway. Now the winner will be chosen by random.org. So the winner of this giveaway will get the My Memories Suite Software! My Memories Suite helps anyone create digital scrapbooks, cards, calendars, etc.

Also we have not left anyone out of this awesome giveaway that we are doing! There is something for everyone!! So if you are not the lucky winner you still get a awesome deal. As a special for all of our readers, here is a Share the Memories code that provides a $10 discount off the purchase of the My Memories Suite Scrapbook software and a $10 coupon for the MyMemories.com store - $20 value! Now isn't that just awesome? So here is the code to get this savings STMMMS15989

So now that I have given information about the giveaway I will do my review! I am a traditional scrapbooker meaning I go and purchase all of the my paper, glue, adhesives and embellishments. Yes this hobby can get VERY pricey! But recording the memories is just so awesome and so much fun to do and what not better way then to make it super pretty? I have always wondered about digital scrapbooking and how it was and what not. I wasn't to sure about it to be honest. I liked the fact that I could just do it on a computer but I didn't like that I didn't get to use my supplies that I already had.

When Liz asked me to host this giveaway I was very excited to try out this scrapbooking program! So of course I jumped right in on it. The program I downloaded straight from My Memories Suite site, so that was really awesome to have it at my finger tips and not have to wait for the program in the mail. Gotta love instant download, right? I know I sure do! So once it was installed in my computer I dabbled a little bit with it.

Now the packs are not badly priced. I saw some for only $4.99 and they also have FREE kits to down load as well!! Who doesn't love free, right? I know I like free, lol. Also $4.99 isn't bad at all when you think how much it would cost to go to the scrapbooking store and purchase all the elements needed just for that one layout! There is so much more that you can do with the program like make cards and calendars as well. Well since I love to scrapbook I did a few pages. I am not that great with card making.

So this is a page that I did. Yes I know its hard to see, this is my fault. I saved this how I knew how to save it as a JPEG file and it came out tiny. This is NOT a tiny picture in the program at all. Since the Holidays are around the corner I decided to do a holiday page. This was a template that was already made. So all I had to do was just drop the picture in. Now this would be good if you wanted to get a page done quickly. Its a very pretty template. There is so much more that you could do with this program! There are templates that are already made and then you can do your own templates. So having those options is very cool.

It was super fun and easy to work with this program! I am not really that great with computer programs but this was easy as can be! I will be doing more stuff with this. I think I will try out a card with the program!! So there is just so much that you can do with it! I am glad that I got to try this out! Yes I still love my traditional scrapbooking but you know what this would be awesome for Christmas gifts to make pages for the family and have it printed out at a print shop!

So lets spread the word and get your entries in for this giveaway! I will stop this giveaway on Tuesday September 20th at midnight PST! Don't forget about the awesome code for the great deal as well STMMMS15989  So over all I like this program its really awesome and I will be using it more. Thank you Liz for letting me host this giveaway! The winner of this giveaway will NOT be disappointed. I love it!

Crayon Roll!

Well this is our second challenge to our pinterest group challenge that I am apart of! So My son's birthday was all about handmade! Why not, right? I mean everything was made with love and was ten times better then any store bought cheap toys in my opinion. So My mom and I were sticking to handmade all around! Like I said almost 100%

Pinterest is GREAT for inspiration or just seeing something and just do it! Well we did just that! We took inspiration made it our own and it was AWESOME! MY son had an AWESOME time! I would do it all over in a heart beat!! So here is our inspiration that we did for my sons birthday!

I did CRAYON ROLLS!!!! I Loved how they turned out!! Of course I had to get Mickey Mouse Fabric! It was badly priced when you paired it with a Joanns 40% off coupon!! Oh ya baby!! Oh and the crayons 40 cents at Wal-mart for 24 pack- SCORE!! So ya easy peasy I loved it! The kids loved it!! Woot Woot!!

Here is the Pinterest inspiration tut that I used http://www.aprettycoollife.com/2010/11/what-was-i-thinking-crayon-roll.html it was a tad confusing but I managed to do it and they came out GREAT!

Now time to dress up out water bottles! I am telling you we went all homemade on this! My mom actually did this. I will post up her tutorial on how to do this if you are interested in doing your own for your own party! But these were a HIT! Oh and they came out ABSOLUTELY cute!!!
Here is the pinterest inspiration that we took it from http://pinterest.com/pin/92156319/ We didnt pay for these to be made. All we used was a cricut cartridge, paper and contact paper and WAHLA Beautifulness!!

Next on the inspiration of tons of things that we got from Pinterest! Now we have GOODY Bags! Oh ya!! Can you tell that I am very proud at how the party turned out?
These came out better then we had imagined! My niece helped my mom out with the stamping idea! We needed some fresh eye and that's what we got!! Our pinterest pin for this idea came from here http://pinterest.com/pin/92153580/

This is everything that we had done! Doesn't it just look great? I loved how it all turned out! My cousin over at Stellar Cupcakes and Cakes did the cake and we got that idea from this pin http://pinterest.com/pin/50323068/. My sister over at Vixen Ware screen printed the shirts for us! Idea for the pin came from here http://pinterest.com/pin/92152586/ So pinterest helped us with Ideas. I swear if you don't have an account go get one. So much inspiration! Also stop by my cousins page here and stop over at my sisters page here.

Pinterest I love you. Thank you for the inspiration. Now its time to do my little monsters first birthday! Please keep and eye out for the tut on the water bottle!

Hello Cutie Blog

Hey Fans!! So I wanted to tell you something that I have been super excited about and wasn't able to tell anyone until the big reveal. Well the reveal was made but I was dealing with sick little ones so now I am about to tell you what the excitement is all about!!

So my friend Lizzie from "Oh Snap" contacted me a few weeks ago about a blog challenged and asked for me to be a DT!! I was super honored and of course I said YES!! How could I not? I knew that she would challenge me and I would be set outside my norm bubble. Well I will say that I was challenge and I was very much happy about it!!

The Hello Cutie Challenges will feature TWO awesome challenges a month. There will be a color challenge and a Photo inspiration challenge. Now how fun does that sound? The challenges can be ANYTHING that YOU MAKE! So if its sewing, baking, scrapbooking, cardmaking crochet.....anything that you make will do as long as it goes with the challenge. These challenges will be available on the FIRST and THIRD Saturday of the month!

So our Reveal Challenge consisted of a COLOR CHALLENGE. I am very much scared of choosing colors outside of the normal color matching....if that makes sense. I was scared but excited.
I was very excited yet so very scared with this challenge. This TOTALLY took me out of my comfort zone and made me think and figure out how to use the colors and in what order. So for this Challenge I made two crocheted items, Why not, right?? 1- I am ALWAYS looking for color combos that are out of my norm and will challenge me= this did. 2- I need new bright items for my shop!

So to stay in my comfort zone I crocheted this hat. The main color was pink (safe) then I had to figure out how to incorporate the rest of the colors of the challenge. Its very pretty but it works :) I was still determined to use these colors again. I knew I didn't have enough yarn to make another hat so I had to rack my brain to figure out what to make. This is what I did for the challenge as well

It's my super cute Headband!! I love the way it came out! What do you all thing? So the color challenge really do just that, it challenged me to think outside of my comfort zone. I will say that I love all of these colors together!

So head on over to Hello Cutie Challenges to see what my fellow DT members did with this color challenge. this challenge is due on March 26, 2011 at 11:59est...you can find the details on the blog. So head on over and start this challenge. Its a great way to kick your mojo back up!! Oh ya don't forget to follow the Hello Cutie Challenge blog!!

Ya the spice cabinet was kind of out of control. It didn't take to long to have it all cleaned and organized. I have been doing my challenges late at night when the boys are either asleep or just relaxed and daddy is home so I don't have my 3yr old trying to help me out.
So here is my before:
and after:
ta-da!! Not to bad, eh? I think it came out great! My tea bags are up on the top shelf, my baking is on the second shelf along with my packets of seasons, and my spices are on the bottom. Yay!! Todays mission has been accomplished!

Day 10~ Laundry Room

Well, I will say that I was very excited that today's challenge was the laundry room. Ya can you believe that I was excited about that? What the heck is wrong with me?!?!? My laundry room was in DEEP NEED of a total clean up and organization. It was HORRIBLE, you will see the pictures. Dont judge me, lol. But I am very, very, very happy with the out come. Even my son was excited with me! Sooo with out much further gabber from me here are the Before pictures:

As you can tell my laundry room is TINY!! I mean the space I have between my washer and the wall is only enough for me to fit shoulders wide. It is TINY. So yes it looks super messy when things are all over the place. So these are my after pictures:
So I had this gizmo, gadget thing for a year now and I have been waiting so patiently for my lovely, dear hubby to put it up. Well it NEVER happened. So I got out the drill and the drill bit, measured where the holes went, and put it up! I am very proud of myself for this, it is even straight!! My son said that I was Bob the Builder, LOL.
Soo, YAYA!! Doesn't it look a gazillion times better? I think it does. Well I also got to make a Grocery Bag Holder!! Yahoo, yes this is something that I have been wanting to do for a year as well but never got to it. Thanks to this organization thing I got to finally make it because there was NO way I was going to have those grocery bags hanging out looking ugly!
So here is my creation:
Yay! I loved the way it came out and it was super easy and quick to do. I am very proud of how my laundry room came out!
